Scalp Micropigmentation for Scarring
Scalp scarring is caused by injury or surgery, most commonly hair transplants. Scarring is an inevitable by product of any hair transplant procedures. The two surgical procedures most often used for hair transplant are follicular unit extraction (FUE) and follicular unit transplantation (FUT). FUE is where hair follicles are extracted from the back and sides of the scalp. Each hair follicle will be removed individually with a micro-punch tool and the extraction will leave a tiny round scar, up to 1 millimeter in diameter. FUT is a procedure that requires the surgical removal of a strip of scalp that contains hair from the donor area (this is typically located on the back of the scalp). This procedure will leave a strip scar.

Help You?
Scalp micropigmentation is used to conceal scalp scarring by adding microdots of pigment in and around the scar to blend in with the existing hair. The dots are perfectly executed to eliminate the visibility of the scar as well as the procedure helping to soften the scar tissue and restore some health to the injured skin. Concealment of the scar can be up to 90%, helping people get the look they desire.
