Scalp Micropigmentation for Alopecia
Alopecia is an autoimmune disease where the main and usually the only symptom is hair loss. There are many different forms that cause hair loss from small patches, such as alopecia areata, to full body hair loss, such as alopecia areata universalis. Unfortunately there is no cure for alopecia and the amount of hair loss is different in everyone. With alopecia areata, it’s the hair follicles that are attacked. Doctors don’t know why it happens. But they think people who get it have something in their genes that makes it more likely. Then something happens to trigger the hair loss. With alopecia it is possible for the hair to grow back, but the hair loss may then occur elsewhere on the scalp, face or body.

How Can Joe SMP
Help You?
Scalp micropigmentation is the perfect solution for alopecia. By depositing pigment into the scalp with a special cosmetic machine we can conceal patches of hair loss. Also if alopecia causes full scalp hair loss or you have patched hair loss that comes and goes in different areas of the scalp, then you can get your full head treated with scalp micropigmentation. For those with full hair loss it will look as though they have a full head of hair that they have chosen to shave completely. Clients with patches that come and go can benefit from a full head treatment as if the hair grows back and hair loss appears elsewhere on the scalp it will already be camouflaged by the scalp micropigmentation.
